If you are anything like me, you have been watching the NFL since the start of the season. One thing that you can always rely on is that unfortunately people will get hurt. Football is a very punishing sport and that does not change the closer to professional you get. In fact, just this past week there were six injuries in a game which caused the players to be pulled. At least one of them is a season ending injury to the ankle and the rest from the game are still mostly questionable. If you watch football, you know that this is not abnormal. If you or someone you know plays football, you know it all the better. So what happens when you do eventually get hurt?
Almost anyone who plays any sort of sport will end up getting hurt at least once. When this happens it normally means a trip to the doctor, maybe some x-rays and an MRI, and then some recovery time. Other times it will require physical therapy to get the injured part back to a normal functioning level. Unfortunately sometimes there is nothing to do for the injury other than surgery. This is one of the worst case scenarios for sports injuries, as it often means that players don’t come back to the level they were beforehand.
While chiropractors can’t really help with the surgery and we can’t prescribe medication to help someone deal with the pain, there are a couple of things we can do to help. Although chiropractors are mostly known for their work on spines and necks, here at Wirth we can also work on just about any other joint you have. This means shoulders, knees, ankles, elbows, fingers, toes, and anything else that may have been messed up while you were running around on the field or dancing across the stage.
If you have suffered from a sport injury, then come into Wirth today. We will treat anyone of any age, so even if your peewee football player got hurt you can bring them right in. We want to do our best to treat as many people as possible, so tell your whole team that they are always welcome at Wirth Chiropractic in Greenville, NC. Come on in and see just how much of a difference we can make to your sports injury.
