This week I wanted to focus on the problems that affect many of us, even if we don’t realize they are common. While it is pretty much standard knowledge that a fair amount of us are not morning people, we don’t often find ways to help to combat that other than being told “get more sleep”. It can be extremely difficult to follow this advice depending on our home and work lives, so if mornings are a struggle for you like they are for so many of us, don’t feel bad if you look for ways to make them easier. I certainly won’t judge you for trying to find a life hack that works for you.
The aches and pains that many of us feel over the course of time can really get you down after a while. Even if these pains are caused by us working out and trying to become a healthier person, they can still be troublesome and sometimes discouraging. This is especially true if you suffer from a chronic disease. Try and find a safe and healthy way of dealing with the pain, even if you don’t think it’s bad. No pain is always better than a little bit of pain.
Seasonal Affective Disorder, or seasonal depression, is much more common than you may think. Many people have it but are never diagnosed due to a multitude of reasons, such as a fear of the stigma that mental health has. The truth is, though, that nothing is wrong with needing a little extra help in balancing your brain chemicals. After all, if you don’t have all of the ingredients to make pie dough, store bought will substitute nicely. If your brain cannot give you the proper balance of chemicals, then store bought will do fine here as well. Many of us need to ask for a little extra help, especially during the winter months. You don’t need to worry about what we may say if you tell us.
Coming into our office at Wirth Chiropractic for a spinal adjustment or for nutrition help or whatever you may seek though our doors is something we always look forward to. We are here for you. We want to help you. Why else would we have gone to medical school at these college rates? We want you to be the best you that you can be and would be honored to help you achieve that. Come in and see what we can do to see that happen.
