Let’s face it, children take a lot of work to raise. It doesn’t really matter how many you have had or how much babysitting experience you have, it never truly gets easier. When you consider how different each child is, you realize how you can’t always use the same tactics from one kid to the next. This is on top of the changing safety regulations and need to keep up with studies that show what is the better product to use for various things. Technology is constantly changing in regards to childcare and you never know what might be available from even one child to their younger sibling.
One of the things that is constantly changing and evolving is the car seat. From a simple wooden chair strapped onto the back of a seat like my mother had to the new high tech car seats that connect to an app through your smart phone, car seats have made leaps and bounds over the last 50 years. Even 20 years ago, children were still facing front and there was really no such thing as an expiration date on the car seat. Now that we know it is safer to have kids in a rear facing seat and that the safety of car seats can diminish over time, we have to wonder what the next major change will be. With car seats that can alert you to a forgotten child, an overly warm car, or even an unbuckled belt, it can seem like there is nothing else that can be added. Naturally, something will be and I personally can’t wait to see what it is.
Even with all of the safety regulations that we have, children do unfortunately still get hurt while in cars. We know that it is always difficult to see your little one hurt and in pain which is why we are determined to do everything we can to help.
