We frequently talk about car accidents, but there are dozens of other events that can cause serious damage to your body. Sometimes, it’s even something that’s considered safe which you had planned to do. Here at Wirth we never want to seem like we are scaring you away from anything, we just want you to be able to make the most informed decisions about your health and your future. This means that even things like standard medical procedures need to be approached from multiple angles in order for you to make the best decision about your health.

There are many different things that can be considered physically traumatic even if they aren’t strictly sudden or surprising. Two of the most common examples of these situations are surgeries and childbirth. These things are often planned ahead of time, or at least expected to happen around a general date. It may seem odd to call these experiences traumatic, but if you think about the literal definition as opposed to the connotation we generally use this word in, it is true. Traumatic is defined as something that is disturbing or distressing, and if you have seen the immediate results of either of these experiences, then you know they are definitely distressing and disturbing to the body even under the best of circumstances. Whenever something is physically distressing, you will likely have pain that follows. While chiropractic care may not be able to stop the direct pain depending on the cause, we can certainly help with any joint pain that you may experience as a result of your physically traumatic experience.

Chiropractic care is a non-invasive and prescription drug-free way of dealing with pain and other related problems that you may be experiencing. While we know that things like surgery and medication have their place in the medical world, we prefer to help people without them. It is important to remember that your body goes through a lot, so you should be gentle with it and help to keep it in good working order. Coming into Wirth for chiropractic care to help with the pain that you have been experiencing due to your physically traumatic event is just one of the things you can do. Come in and see how much better you feel after an appointment here!
