Let’s face it, children are never easy to raise. It doesn’t really matter how many you have or how often you take care of other people’s children, it never really gets easier. Every child is different, so things never really work the same from one kid to the next. When you factor in the changing safety regulations and new scientific studies that show what is more effective in regards to parenting techniques, it can be downright overwhelming. Even technology is constantly changing in regards to childcare and you never know what may be available even from one child to their younger sibling, regardless of how much time passed between their births.
One of the things that is constantly changing is the car seat. From a handmade wooden chair strapped over the back of the seat like the one my mother used to the newer car seats that connect to an app through your smart phone, car seats have changed a lot over the last 50 years. Even 20 years ago, children of any age and weight were still facing forward and there really wasn’t something like an expiration date on the car seat. Now that we know it is safer to have kids in a rear facing seat up to a certain point and that the integrity of car seats can diminish over time, we have to wonder what the next major change will be. With car seats that alert you when you leave your child in the back seat, an overly warm car, or even an unbuckled belt, it can seem like there is nothing else to implement. Of course, however, we know that something new will come along soon and become the new standard.
Even with all of the safety regulations that we have, children do still unfortunately get hurt while in cars. We know that it is always difficult to see your kid hurt and in pain which is why we will do everything we can to help them out. Here at Wirth, we work with every tool we have at our disposal to make sure that any damage is mitigated when it comes to a car accident. We will come up with a personalized plan to help your child and anyone else in your family who is living in pain. Just give us a call and leave the rest to us and our team!
