Street Parking - Greenville Chiropractor

If there is one thing that almost every driver can agree on, it's that parallel parking is tough. If it was easy, it wouldn't be on a driving test, and we certainly wouldn't have cars that are now designed to parallel park themselves. It can be difficult under the best of circumstances, but add the fact that you often have to do it in traffic or with people who didn't park properly and it can seem like an impossibility. Street parking is a fact of life for many people who work or live somewhere without driveways or parking garages, but that doesn't mean it's easy. Even people who are used to doing it every day can still meet with complications.

Trying to wiggle your way into a parallel parking space in the morning can seem like a cruel test. When you have other cars trying to pass you as you back up against traffic and slide into a space that seems like it might be just a bit too small, it can be downright nerve-wracking. It definitely isn't like riding a bike either. It's a skill you either use often or you lose it. Trying to make sure you're close enough to the curb without hitting it and avoiding the other two cars, all in a short period of time as to not block the road, is not something many of us would qualify as fun. However, it is a necessary evil.

Even if you manage to get your car all the way into a spot and you have parked perfectly, you still aren't out of the proverbial woods yet. You may still be in danger while trying to get out. People tend to drive quickly, and if one person isn't paying attention, getting out of your car can spell disaster. It is important that you always look before you open your door so that you know if it is safe or not. Getting out of the car and onto the sidewalk quickly is the best way to make sure that you don't get hit.
